REFRAMING THE POWER OF ART

Last Look at Eden   is a limited edition fine art series, a documentary film, companion book, resource website and social community dedicated to raising awareness and funds for Endangered Species. The film will explore how ART has been used throughout ages to capture and celebrate the essence and spirit of every imaginable kind of animal from all over the world.

How works of ART were many times, the first glimpse people ever saw of indigenous animals from far-off lands. It is an attempt to explore the bond between animals and the artists, and how important and impactful that relationship can be, especially if that species is endangered, with the urgency necessary to save its kind for the future generations to love and enjoy.

In addition, we will investigate some of the most urgent circumstances facing endangered species on the brink, as well as great success stories of how humanity rallied to assist some species to bring them back from the brink of extinction to a more healthy vibrant population.

Our Mission Statement

“My greatest aspiration as a contemporary artist is to act as an advocate for Mother Nature, endangered species, wildlife habitats and ecosystems, by creating living moments on canvas that will resonate with, and inspire the viewer to adventure out into nature seeking more. My true hope is as a result, the viewer will be galvanized to join in the humanitarian effort to help preserve this amazing planet we call home.”

Creative Concept

I am embarking on what I hope to be a very purposeful project, which is to utilize my artistic talents, collaborative team, and related resources, combined with my passion for animals to raise awareness and funds for various endangered species from around the world.

To that end, over the course of the next year my team and I are planning to produce a documentary film entitled "Last Look at Eden" along with a companion book of the same name. In addition, I will be painting a number of new original works of art many featuring endangered species specifically for this documentary to be used for raising awareness to help publicize the urgency to preserve these and other species, their habitats and ecosystems that play such an important role in our natural world, and ultimately in the survival of mankind as well.

My love and fascination with animals has been the cornerstone of my professional career as a fine artist since I was boy. My art conservation began when as a high school student; I won the State of California Fish and Game decal competition at the age of 16, with a painting of a pair of endangered Least Terns.

CA Fish and Game liked my painting so much, that for the first time in the contest history, they also produced a limited edition print of my art, and subsequently sold enough prints to raise around $35,000 for their non game endangered species programs.

Many of my images have been used by the Audubon Society, Nature Conservatory, Humane Society, Actors and Others for Animals, Habitat for Humanity, Safari Club International and other organizations seeking to safeguard and preserve wildlife and our natural heritage. Art has always been a powerful tool with respect to illuminating an important subject matter, which is what I intend on doing with the "Last Look at Eden" project.
